ST. PAUL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict swim and dive team competed in its second meet in as many days Saturday afternoon when it headed back to St. Paul for the six-team UST Invite.

Ana Birklid both finished in the top three to pace CSB, which finished fourth out of six teams at the invite. Host-school St. Thomas won the invite, St. Olaf took second and St. Kate's finished third.
Jarvi finished top five on both the one- and three-meter boards Saturday. She took third on the three meter with a score of 228.25 and fifth on the one-meter board with a mark of 216.85. Birklid finished third in the 200 backstroke in 2:17.01, and she also took eighth in the 500 free in 5:33.37. Teammate
Lauren Christiansen took fifth in the 200 back in 2:20.89 and
Nicole Lefebvre took seventh in 2:23.31.
Kathryn Ellingson took eighth in both the one- and three-meter diving competitions. She finished with a one-meter score of 160.2 and a three-meter score of 168.05.
Lisa Pahr finished sixth in the one-meter competition with a mark of 178.9.
Sydney Dugas took sixth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:58.66. Teammates
Clara Livermore (2:59.79) and
Kayla Albers (3:01.57) finished seventh and ninth, respectively.
Hannah Svihel took seventh in the 200 fly (2:35.20) and
Madi Davis finished eighth (2:35.99), and
Claudia Mahoney led a trio of CSB swimmers in the top 10 in the 100 free. She finished seventh (58.08),
Skyler Clough took eighth (58.55) and
Allie Crum took 10
th (59.45).
Christiansen took eighth in the 100 back in 1:05.20, Clough took ninth in the 100 fly in 1:07.63 and
Morgan Gerhardt took ninth in the 500 free (5:33.44) and 10
th in the 200 free (2:05.82). Birklid,
Zoe Allyson, Davis and Mahoney teamed up to take seventh in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:55.44, and Christiansen, Davis,
Grace Livermore and Mahoney finished 10
th in the 400 medley relay in 4:30.16.
Saint Benedict competes at home for the first time next Saturday, Jan. 19, when it hosts Carleton starting at 1 p.m. at the Warner Palaestra Pool on the SJU campus.
