MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team dropped a MIAC match to Bethel 9-0 Friday night. The match – CSB's second in as many days – was played at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
 
The Royals (12-3, 5-1) won at No. 1 and 2 doubles, and 
Erin Kolbow and 
Lauren Clark put up a fight at No. 3 doubles before falling. The duo forced an extra set before falling 9-8, 9-7.
 
Bethel swept singles play to pick up its third straight win. 
Tessa Rahrick fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Kolbow lost 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. 
Ellen Stensrud fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and 
Kayla McIver lost 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4.
 
Schurhamer fell 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles, and 
Gabbie Noack lost 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
 
CSB is back in action Saturday, April 21, when it takes on Macalester. That match is now at 1 p.m. at Lifetime Fitness in White Bear Lake.
