ST. PETER, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team started the long weekend with a MIAC match against Gustavus Friday morning. The Gusties swept Saint Benedict 9-0 in the match in St. Peter.
Tessa Rahrick and
Kayla McIver hung with the Gusties at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-3.
Ellen Stensrud and
Mackenzie Schurhamer fell 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, and
Erin Kolbow and
Gabbie Noack fell 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
The Gusties – who are now 7-5 overall and ranked 40
th in Division III – also swept singles play. Rahrick fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Kolbow fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Stensrud lost 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and McIver fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Schurhamer fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, and
Kylie Miller lost 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
