SARTELL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team picked up its seventh win of the season Friday night when it swept Crown College 9-0 in a nonconference match at Sta-Fit in Sartell.
CSB is now 7-2 overall heading into its spring break trip to California. While on the West Coast, the team will take on three nonconference opponents, and also take in some professional tennis matches.
Saint Benedict got off to a strong start in doubles play Friday night.
Kayla McIver and
Tessa Rahrick won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles,
Ellen Stensrud and
Mackenzie Schurhamer won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles and
Erin Kolbow and
Lauren Clark picked up an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
Rahrick won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Kolbow won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, and Stensrud, McIver, Schurhamer and
Kylie Miller all won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3-6 singles.
Saint Benedict starts its spring break trip March 6 at Whittier College, then takes on Hope International and Occidental on March 8.
