ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - With only two games left in the regular season, the Saint Benedict basketball team is looking to finish on a high note. The team checked off win number 21 against Augsburg Saturday. Polling at No. 22 this week, CSB looks to cinch a second-place finish in the MIAC in its game against Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in Claire Lynch Hall.
About Gustavus
The Gusties are 19-4 overall with a 13-3 conference record. Their 13
th MIAC victory came on Saturday against Bethel, who they defeated 77-60 on their home court. Last season, they were 25-3 overall, and finished second in the MIAC with 17 wins and one loss. The Gusties have not yet faced Saint Benedict this season. Mikayla Miller leads the Gusties in scoring at 16.9 points per game, but Miranda Rice is right behind at16.8 points per game.
Last Year
Last season, Gustavus squeaked out a five-point win over Saint Benedict. CSB led in the first, but the Gusties took a one-point lead going into the half. The teams were evenly matched in the third, but the Gusties pulled away in the fourth to win 61-56. Mikayla Miller scored 27 points, ten more than CSB's leading scorer

The Storyline
No. 22 Saint Benedict celebrated National Women in Sports Day last Saturday with a 74-58 victory over Augsburg. CSB controlled the game handily, outscoring the Auggies in every quarter.
