ORLANDO, Fla. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team started its spring break trip with a 9-0 loss to the University of Minnesota-Duluth Tuesday evening in Orlando, Fla.
CSB (7-5) played close sets with Division II UMD, but came up short.
"UMD played very well this evening, and a lot of credit goes to them," CSB coach
Michael Engdahl said. "We finally had some first year moments in our matches, which I was really happy to finally see. These are the types of matches we can really learn and grow from. Even though it was a 9-0 loss, it was a match that pointed us in the right direction when we get back to MIAC play."
All three doubles teams hung right with the Bulldogs.
Tessa Rahrick and
Ellen Stensrud fell 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, and both
Erin Kolbow and
Kylie Miller (No. 2 doubles) and
