ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team has already earned a spot in the MIAC postseason tournament, but looks to clinch home court advantage Wednesday, Feb. 15, when it travels to Hamline University in St. Paul. Game time is set for 7 p.m. as CSB looks to improve on its 9-7 conference record.
About Hamline
Hamline is 5-18 overall and 2-14 in the MIAC and 12th in league standings heading into Wednesday's game. The Pipers' latest game was an 81-66 loss at Concordia on Saturday afternoon. Alaina Quaranta leads the team with 12.3 points per game and is third in the MIAC with 53 steals this season. Chloe Graves is third in the league with 101 assists this season, she also averages 12.1 points per game. Kaeli Stayer is third in the MIAC with 48 made 3-pointers this season.
Last Matchup
CSB and Hamline faced off once already this season, and the Blazers won the matchup. On Jan. 18, CSB Won 58-47 in St. Joseph.
Niki Fokken had a career-high 21 points and also had eight blocks in the victory.
Chelsey Guetter added 16 points and eight rebounds. The Blazers went 20-for-29 from the free-throw line compared to the Pipers' 3-for-4. Saint Benedict went 2-0 against Hamline last season.

The Storyline
CSB has just two losses at home this season, but has struggled on the road with a record of 3-8. CSB, which got off to a hot start to the 2016-17 season, also looks to stay in fourth place in the league with a win this week. CSB is tied for fourth with St. Kate's in the league standings with two games left in the regular season, and needs at least one win to clinch home-court advantage. Hamline, on the other hand, has already been eliminated for a spot in the six-team postseason tournament. Looking ahead, CSB will be back on the road for another conference game Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m., when traveling to Saint Mary's University to close out the regular season.
