ST.JOSEPH, Minn. – After two huge MIAC wins this weekend, the College of Saint Benedict volleyball team heads to Macalester College on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The MIAC match starts at 7 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn.
About Macalester
The Scots dominated Crown College in a 3-0 win on Monday, earning their second home victory of the season. Macalester is 8-18 overall and 0-9 in the MIAC this season. Last year, the Scots ended the season 9-18 overall and 1-10 in MIAC play. Clara Baumann leads both the Scots' offense and defense with 329 kills and 355 digs. India Medaris is second with 323 kills, and Abrielle Dillon has 297 digs. Sofi Ascencio tops the assists with 567.

Hunter Weiss leads the team with 251 kills and a strong 56 blocks. MIAC Setter of the Week
Megan Pekarek is second in the conference for assists with 917.
Haley LaValle continues to be at the top of the team for digs (382), followed by
Liz Schultz with 225 digs and 199 kills.
Madison Weiss is a wall on the front line with 93 blocks – good for first in the MIAC.
The Storyline
After a doubleheader weekend, the CSB volleyball team is going strong with a three-game win streak. The team has only two more MIAC games, facing Concordia College on Saturday in St. Joseph after its match Wednesday at Macalester. The team looks forward to playoffs starting October 31.
Heading into the final two matches of the regular season, Saint Benedict (15-8, 7-2) is tied for second in the MIAC with Augsburg. The top six teams in the league earn a spot in the league's postseason tournament.
