ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After a 2-1 win against Hamline on Saturday, the College of Saint Benedict soccer team looks to add another notch in the 'W' column Wednesday when it travels to Macalester College. The two teams play at 7 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn., in a MIAC contest.
About the Scots
Macalester is 6-6-3 overall and 3-4-2 in the MIAC and is coming off a 2-1 victory at Saint Mary's. Jamie Hasama leads the Scots with four goals and four assists, and is second in the MIAC with 52 shots. Clara Webby is second on the team with three goals and two assists. Rachel Wilson-King leads the Scots in goal and has the second most saves in the MIAC with 70, and third best save percentage of .909 and goals-against average of 0.55.

CSB beat the Scots 3-1 last year on Oct. 26 in St. Joseph. CSB got out to an early first-half lead, with two goals scored by
Taylor Hedin.
Jenna Kleason added a goal in the second half to seal a MIAC victory. The Scots held an 11-8 edge in total shots, and had an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal.

Megan Thompson leads CSB with six goals and 15 points on 40 shots. Junior
Jane Koch is first in the MIAC with seven assists and second with 52 shots. In net,
Kendall Koenen has 58 total saves. She is 9-2-2 with five shutouts, a 0.94 goals against average, and a .829 save percentage.
The Storyline
Fourth-place CSB leads the Scots by six point in the MIAC standings. With just two games left in the season, a victory would clinch a spot in the MIAC playoffs for CSB. After a win on Saturday, the team looks to stay on track with a win Wednesday at Macalester. CSB soccer wraps up the MIAC season this week with a final game back home Saturday Oct. 28 against Carleton.
