ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After a 0-0 draw at Gustavus on Saturday, the College of Saint Benedict soccer team looks to add another notch in the 'W' column Saturday when it hosts Hamline University. The two teams play at 3:30 p.m. in St. Joseph, Minn., in a MIAC contest.
About the Pipers
Hamline is 8-5-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the MIAC and is coming off a 5-1 victory against St. Scholastica. Kaley Roberts is second in the MIAC with 11 goals and 24 points on 47 shots, and Arendje Louter leads the team with four assists. Eleven Pipers have scored a goal this season. Kat Armstrong leads the team in goal and has the second most saves in the MIAC with 66, and has a save percentage of .786.
Last Year
The Pipers beat CSB 3-1 last year on Oct. 22 in St. Paul. Hamline got out to an early second half lead, with two goals in the first 13 minutes of the half. CSB got on the board a minute later with their lone goal off the foot of
Jane Koch and assisted by Jess Trossen in 59th minute. The Pipers held a 10-9 edge in total shots, and had a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Megan Thompson leads CSB with six goals and 15 points on 37 shots. Junior
Jane Koch is first in the MIAC with six assists and has 46 shots. In net,
Kendall Koenen has 57 total saves. She is 8-2-2 with five shutouts, a 1.61 goals against average, and a .838 save percentage.
The Storyline
Fourth-place CSB leads the Pipers by one point in the MIAC standings. With just three games left in the season, every game is a big game for CSB. After a draw last Saturday, the team looks to stay on track with a win Saturday against Hamline. CSB soccer wraps up the MIAC season next week with a game at Macalester and a final game back home Saturday Oct. 28 against Carleton.
