ST. PETER, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team and Gustavus played to a scoreless, double overtime tie Saturday afternoon in St. Peter.

Kendall Koenen made seven saves to help keep the Gusties off the board and preserve the 0-0 tie. With three games left in the regular season, CSB is now 8-2-2 overall and 4-2-2 and tied for fourth in the MIAC. Both CSB and St. Kate's have 4-2-2 conference records.
Koenen made three saves in the first 18 minutes to help keep Gustavus (7-4-3, 3-3-2) off the board. She made two more saves in the first half and the two teams went into halftime scoreless.
To start the second half it was Saint Benedict with a pair of early shots, and Koenen made two more saves to keep the game scoreless and send it into overtime.
Both teams had a shot that went high in the first overtime, and
Jenna Kleason had a shot that hit the crossbar and bounced out in the 101
st minute in the second overtime, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
The Gusties finished with 13 shots to CSB's nine, including a 7-3 margin in shots on net. Koenen had seven saves and Gustavus' Ashley Becker stopped all three shots she faced.
Saint Benedict is off now until Saturday, Oct. 21, when it hosts Hamline at 3:30 p.m. After hosting Hamline, CSB travels to Macalester before ending the regular season at home against Carleton.
