COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Two members of the College of Saint Benedict swimming and diving team each picked up a win Friday night in the team's MIAC dual against Gustavus.
Junior
Katie Heller and sophomore
Ashley Groebner each won their respective against in the team's 165-40 loss to Gustsavus at the Warner Palaestra Pool in Collegeville. Groebner and Heller also took part in a second-place relay for CSB.
Heller won the 50 freestyle and took second in the 100 free and 200 medley relay for CSB. She finished the 50 free in 25.67 seconds in the 100 free in 57.01 seconds. She teamed up with
Emma Ridgeway, Groebner and
Kristina Rudin to take second in the 200 medley relay in 1:53.41.
Groebner won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.89, and she also finished second in the 200 IM in 2:21.29.
Meghan Kratz finished third behind Heller in the 100 free in 57.05 seconds.
Ridgeway took second in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.21, and
Marissa Behounek finished third in the 500 freestyle in 5:34.52.
Allyson Lidtke,
Skyler Clough, Kratz and
Meghan Harder finished second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:44.75.
There was no diving Friday night as CSB is hosting the CSB|SJU Diving Invite at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Palaestra.
As a team, CSB is back in action Feb. 3-4 when it travels to Minneapolis for the Minnesota Challenge.
