ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team wrapped up its busy start to the season with its third win in as many games Monday afternoon.
CSB, which played three games in five days to start the year, stayed undefeated with a 3-2 win against UW-Oshkosh on Labor Day. Saint Benedict is undefeated at home, and heads on the road for its next four games before returning home on Sept. 21.
Oshkosh (2-1) started the scoring late in the first half when Madison Smith took a pass from Katelyn Fladten, broke through the CSB defenders up the middle of the field and kicked the ball past CSB goalie

th minute of the game.
The Titans held that lead into halftime, but
Jenna Kleason tied the game in the 52
nd minute when she got her head on a corner kick by
Olivia Musser and knocked the ball into the net. Less than two minutes later in the 54
th minute, first year
Cecilia Lovinger scored the first goal of her college career to put CSB up 2-1.
Brooke DeMets got the ball near the net and it deflected back to Lovinger who sent it into the net.
Oshkosh tied the game in the 68
th minute when Rachel Elliott scored an unassisted goal by drawing first year CSB goalie
Kendall Koenen out of the net and shooting off to her right, but CSB wasn't done yet.
Senior forward
Taylor Hedin drew a foul inside the box, and she sent the penalty kick past the Oshkosh goalie to put Saint Benedict up 3-2 in the 82
nd minute. CSB's defense kept the Titans out of the net in the final seven minutes to help Saint Benedict hold on for the win.
CSB outshot Oshkosh 19-11, including a 15-5 margin in shots on goal. Kaluzniak made two saves and Koenen made one to help CSB hold on for the win. Koenen picked up the win in the net, the first of her college career.
Saint Benedict is on the road now until Wednesday, Sept. 21, when it hosts St. Thomas. CSB plays Luther Saturday, Sept. 10, in Decorah, Iowa, and Wartburg Sunday, Sept. 11, in Waverly, Iowa.
