Results
The College of Saint Benedict tennis team fell 9-0 to Carleton College Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph, Minn.
The Blazers are no 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the MIAC. The Knights, who are ranked No. 12 in the region, are 12-3 overall and are at the top of the MIAC with a perfect 7-0 mark.
Carleton started the day by sweeping doubles play.
Laura Finn and
Rachel Raden fell 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, and
Victoria Beach and
Cassy Finn lost 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 doubles,
Taylor Kraemer and
Megan Hintz played a strong match, but fell 8-4.
Laura Finn started singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 loss at No. 1 singles. Beach fell 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Kraemer lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Hintz also lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, and
Cassy Finn lost 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
Ellen Stensrud wrapped up the day with a 6-0, 6-0 loss at No. 6 singles.
CSB returns home Saturday, April 23, when it hosts Gustavus - which is also undefeated in the MIAC - at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph.
