ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team is back at home this week for another MIAC matchup. CSB will be in Claire Lynch Hall Wednesday, Oct. 12, when it takes on Hamline University at 7 p.m. CSB heads into the weekend coming off of a 3-1 win over St. Catherine.
 
About the Pipers
 
Hamline enters Wednesday's game with a record of 8-8 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC. The Pipers are coming into this game after a 3-0 loss to St. Scholastica. Julia Zolnosky is fifth in the MIAC with 2.96 kills per set and 34 service aces, and Morgan Coleman is also fifth in the MIAC with 455 assists.

CSB beat Hamline 3-0 on Oct. 14 in St. Paul. CSB dominated, winning each set by nine or more points. Briana Schmiesing had eight kills and two blocks and Megan Pekarek finished with 27 assists.
 
Who to Watch
 
Megan Pekarek leads the Blazers with 621 assists and is second in the MIAC. Liz Schultz (172 kills) and Briana Schmiesing (168 kills) lead the Blazers on attack. Haley LaValle leads the team with 290 digs, followed by Meghan Koop with 242 digs. First years Ashley Trustheim and Cami Hoover have both earned spots in CSB's rotation and have become valuable parts of Saint Benedict's front row attack.
 
The Storyline
 
CSB is looking to move its record above .500 in a conference matchup this week against a Hamline team that has struggled in the MIAC as each of its four losses have been by sweep. The Blazers are currently fourth in the MIAC standings with five conference games left to play. CSB also looks to make use of home court advantage while it can as this is one of two regular-season home games left on the schedule. Looking ahead, CSB will be on the road this weekend to play University of Wisconsin-Superior and College of St. Scholastica.
