OSHKOSH, Wis. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team wrapped up its Wisconsin road trip with two more wins Saturday morning at the UW-Oshkosh Classic in Oshkosh, Wis.
 
The Blazers improved to 7-2 overall and finished the weekend 4-0 after defeating Concordia University Wisconsin 3-1 and Maranatha Baptist University 3-0. Saint Ben's is on a five-game winning streak heading into its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener Wednesday night.
 
CSB started the morning with a 3-1 win against Concordia. The Blazers won the first set 25-19 before falling 25-17 in the second set, but held on for a 26-24 win in set three to take a 2-1 lead on Concordia. Saint Benedict sealed the win with a 25-17 win in set four.
 
Sophie Stangl and Bailey Rykken each finished with a game-high 13 kills to pace the Blazers, who had 60 total kills. Mary Franz added 12 kills and four block assists. Senior setter Taya Kockelman paced the offense with 49 assists. Victoria Nass led the defense with 19 digs, Laura Schmitt added 17 digs, Kelly Davenport chipped in with 15 and Kockelman added 11 digs.
 
The Blazers capped off the weekend with a 3-0 sweep of Maranatha. CSB won 25-11, 25-16 and 25-14. Franz and Rykken each had 10 kills for CSB, which had 46 total kills. Callie Neumann finished with seven kills. Kockelman had 36 assists and Nass led the defense with 12 digs. Schmitt also had 11 digs.
 
The Blazer defense held Maranatha to 15 total kills.

Kockelman, Stangl and Lexi Rinde were named to the UW-Oshkosh Classic All-Tournament Team.
 
Saint Benedict returns home and opens MIAC play Wednesday, Sept. 17, when it hosts Macalester. Game time is 7 p.m. at Claire Lynch.
