| RESULTS | Northfield, Minn. – The Saint Benedict tennis team fell 9-0 at home to Carleton on Sunday (Apr. 6), one of the top teams in the region.
The Knights (12-2, 6-0 MIAC) entered the match unbeaten in MIAC play and ranked No. 6 in the region. In the national rankings they are No. 29.
They looked every bit of that on Sunday, sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets, while also taking 8-0 and 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles respectively.
Laura Finn (Delano, Minn.) did her best to get her team leading 13
th win of the season, playing No. 2 singles. But after losing the first set on a tiebreaker, she fell 6-4 in the second.
The Blazers (9-9, 2-4 MIAC) now spend next weekend on the road, and don't return home until Apr. 26 when they'll hopefully get outdoors for a pair of matches in the final week of the season.
But first, they travel to Macalester and Saint Mary's on Apr. 12 and 13 respectively, a pair of teams the Blazers beat last season.
