Last Time Out:
Last weekend the Blazers opened their season against the WIAC-favorite Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks. The Blazers got goals from Peggy Renier and Colleen Bouchard to take a 2-1 lead early in the first half. The Warhawks tied the game just one minute later, however, and the game ended in a tie after two overtime periods.

On Sunday the Blazers traveled to Wisconsin-La Crosse for their second game. Aly Hoffman scored in the 35th minute to give her team a 1-0 lead they would never relinquish. In the second half Kristina Burk scored off a pass from Bouchard to give the Blazers a two goal lead. With a minute left in the game Hoffman notched her second goal of the game off a pass from Cassandra Miedema. The assist was Miedema's first point in a Blazer uniform.

About Wartburg:
The Blazers will be the third MIAC team the Knights have seen this year. They opened their season with a 2-0 victory over St. Olaf, and then traveled to Minneapolis to play Augsburg. The teams played through two overtime periods without a goal from either side, ending the match in a 0-0 tie. The Knights were picked to finish second in the IIAC, second only to No. 10-ranked Loras.

About Luther:
The Norse come into this weekend with a deceiving 0-2 record. In their season opener they traveled to Texas to take on Trinity University and Hardin-Simmons University, ranked sixth and eighth in the nation, respectively. They dropped both games, 7-1 to Trinity and 4-1 to Hardin-Simmons. They were picked to finish fifth in the competitive IIAC conference by the conference's coaches and SID's.
