Arden Hills, Minn. - The Saint Benedict soccer team won their second-straight game today, lighting up the Bethel University Royals for 7-0 victory on the road. With the win Head Coach
Steve Kimble maintains his undefeated record against Bethel and notched the 50th win of his career as the Blazers' Head Coach.

The win improves the Blazers' record to 20-0-2 all-time against the Royals and improves their season record to 9-1-1 (5-1-0 MIAC). With 15 conference points the win also moves them into first place in the conference standings. With the loss, the Royals drop to 4-8-0 (1-5-0 MIAC).

Sophomore forward Grace Vaughan (Shakopee, Minn.) opened the floodgates early for the Blazers, scoring just five minutes after kickoff off a pass from sophomore forward
Aly Hoffman (Chaska, Minn.). Vaughan later added an unassisted goal in the second half. The goals were Vaughan's team-leading sixth and seventh of the season.

The Blazers got another first-half goal in the 14th minute from senior forward
Colleen Bouchard (Cedar Rapids, Minn.). The goal was Bouchard's fifth of the season. In the second half Bouchard added two assists to give her four points in the game. The big day improves her season assist total to a conference-leading eight and her point total to a team-high 18. She now has 28 assists in her career, moving into third place all-time at CSB, also the most for any player since 1998.

Hoffman scored twice in the second half, once assisted by Bouchard and once unassisted. The two goals and one assist marks a career high five-point game, and brings her season goal total to six, and season point total to 13.

Senior midfielder
Laura Kosch (Eden Prairie, Minn.) also scored a goal in the second-half, assisted by Bouchard. The goal was Kosch's third of the season.

First-year forward Taylor Hedin (Andover, Minn.) put the icing on the cake at the end of the game for the Blazers, scoring their seventh goal of the game off a cross from first-year defender and former high school teammate Jess Trossen (Andover, Minn.). The goal was Hedin's second in as many games.

The seven-goal victory is the Blazers' most decisive victory since they defeated Cornell College 7-0 in early September of 2010. The Blazers outshot the Royals 22-to-9 on the game, their most explosive offensive outpouring of the season.

The Blazers return to action on Tuesday when they will travel to St. Paul, Minn. to take on rival St. Thomas. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.Â
