Last Time Out
The Blazers incredible streak has now put them in the top-25 rankings in the country. After winning 19 of their last 20 games, the Blazers are now ranked No. 25 in the nation. In their last game, the Blazers took on Bethel in their last home game of the regular season, finishing off the night with a 3-1 win. They took the first set 25-16 after an early lead that Bethel could never overcome. In the second set, Bethel kept it close for much of the game until the Blazers pulled ahead to take a 25-19 win. The third set started out very close and stayed that way for the whole set. After Bethel pulled ahead, the Blazers attempted a come back but couldn't get it done and finished with a 25-23 loss. In the fourth set, the score stayed close the whole way through much like the third, but this time the Blazers got the job done and walked away with the win. Sophie Stangl lead her team in hitting, finishing the night with a career high 19 kills and a .311 hitting percentage. Lexi Alm also added another 17 kills.

2011 Meetings
Last time the Blazers faced off against Concordia, they finished with a 3-2 loss. They were held to under a .200 hitting percentage in all five sets but still fought a tough match that ended with Concordia barely squeaking away with a win. The Blazers took the first set 25-23 but lost the second set 25-12. They went on to take the third set by a score of 25-21, but Concordia fought hard and took both the fourth and fifth set with scores of 25-20 and 15-7 respectively.

What Today Means
Well, in regards to the MIAC … nothing. The Blazers are already locked into the No. 2 seed, and Concordia is locked in at No. 3. But when it comes to NCAA Tournament positioning, it is a big game for each team. Despite their 25-4 record the Blazers are ranked just fourth in a loaded Central Region, while Concordia is still battling to stay in the picture at seventh out of the eight teams ranked. Whichever team wins today, it will go a long way to helping secure a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
