The College of Saint Benedict Athletic Department named its 2010-11 award winners on Sunday afternoon.
Four nominees were recognized for Athlete of the Year: senior Amy Stifter (basketball), junior
Kathryn Hauff (golf), junior
Julia Renner (track and field) and sophomore
Danielle Busch (track and field).
Five first-year athletes were recognized for the Rookie of the Year Award:
Colleen Bouchard (soccer),
Ellen Dean (swimming and diving),
Clare Foley (track and field),
Kathyrn Gaydos (volleyball) and
Kelsie Larson (track and field).
Senior Caitlin Schnettler received the “Margy Hughes” Inspirational Award. Schnettler participated in cross country and track for four years.
Junior Marianne Luetmer won the Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award. Luetmer was a member of the nordic skiing program.
Seniors Katy Torchia and Abby Richardson were recipients of the Presidential Award. Torchia ran cross country and track while Richardson was a member of the basketball and softball programs.
Senior
Emily Willaert won the Sportsmanship Award. Willaert played soccer for three years at CSB.
