The lone goal of the game came at the six minute mark when Nebraska's Maddie Pfeil snuck a ball under Saint Benedict goalkeeper
Maija Schmelzer (Rochester, MN, John Marshall)that hit the post and redirected into the net. The Blazers were outshot by the Prairie Wolves 13-12.
Schmelzer stopped five of Nebraska's six shots. Getting the win in net for the Praire Wolves was Emily Dierks, stopping all six of Saint Benedict's shots.
The Blazers head to Minneapolis, MN to open conference play against Augsburg College on Tuesday, September 14th, at 7:30 pm.
