Opening the conference portion of their season at the Municipal Athletic Complex, the College of Saint Benedict lost 5-2 against Bethel University tonight.

The game marked the second in a row where Saint Benedict scored first but was unable to hold onto the lead all three periods. Despite having a 33-15 shot advantage, the Blazers were stymied by the play of Royals goalie Jess Newstrom.
Chruscielski's two points off of two assists led the team and was her career high while playing in a Blazer uniform.
The Blazers now hit the road as they finish their two game series at Bethel. Faceoff is scheduled for 8 pm.
