BOX SCORE

The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team (13-7 overall 3-1 MIAC) defeated Cornell 3-1 in the final match of the Minnesota-Iowa Border Battle Tournament.

The Blazers were led by senior right side hitter Kayli Schumacher, who compiled 16 kills and a .312 hitting percentage.  Junior outside hitter Chelsie Sobieck totaled 15 kills, while first-year outside hitter Lexi Alm added 20 digs.

St. Thomas went on to win the tournament after being the only team to go undefeated in all three sets.  Schumacher was named to the All-Tournament team.

CSB next plays on Wed., Oct. 6 aty 7 p.m. where they host Carleton.
