Alison Tourville (Plymouth, MN, Robbinsdale Armstrong) recorded three assists as the College of Saint Benedict Blazer soccer team (2-1 MIAC, 4-3-1 overall) broke their two game skid against Gustavus Adolphus College (1-2 MIAC, 5-3 overall) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, MN.
The Blazers were able to put on an attack offensively, outshooting the Gusties 19-8. The scoring started at the 25th minute when Tourville assisted sophomore midfielder
Olivia Wee (Savage, MN, Juan Diego) for her first goal of the season. Saint Benedict was able to add on to the lead before the end of the first half with Beshears' goal.
The game remained at a 2-0 in favor of CSB until Beshears knocked in her second goal of the game at the 84th minute.
Junior goalkeeper
Maija Schmelzer (Rochester, MN, John Marshall) received the win at the net for the Blazers, collecting six saves in the process.
Saint Benedict remains on the road as they face St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 30th at 4 pm in St. Paul, MN.
