The College of Saint Benedict Blazer soccer team (5-3-0 MIAC, 8-5-1 overall) won their fourth consecutive game this season 4-2 against Bethel University (2-5-1 MIAC, 9-5-1 overall) on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul, MN.
The Blazers jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half, thanks to goals made by senior forward
Alison Tourville (Plymouth, MN, Robbinsdale Armstrong) and sophomore midfielder
Heather Beshears (Maple Grove, MN, Maple Grove). Tourville and Beshears each made another goal in the second half to preserve the win for Saint Benedict. Junior goalkeeper
Maija Schmelzer (Rochester, MN, John Marshall) earned the win for CSB at the net, collecting four saves during the contest.
The Blazers return home to face Saint Mary's University on Saturday, October 24th at 1 pm in St. Joseph, MN.
