The College of Saint Benedict Blazers (0-2 MIAC, 3-3 overall) fell to the Knights of Carleton College (2-0 MIAC, 4-2 overall) earlier this cloudy afternoon in Northfield, Minnesota.  The host Knights defeated the Blazers 2-0.

The Knights jumped on the scoreboard at the 25:30 mark, with an unassisted goal shot by Megan Milligan.  The Blazers upped their defensive game and kept the Knights at 1, until late in the second half.  Nicky Bloom of Carleton scored the final goal at 85:51.    The Knights outshot the Blazers 2-4 in the first half and 2-12 in the second.  Junior goalkeeper Shannon Strohm (Burnsville, MN, Apple Valley ) recorded six saves for the Blazers.  

The Blazers return to the CSB soccer field this Saturday, September 20th, where they will take on Gustavus-Adolphus College at 1 p.m.
