The College of Saint Benedict Blazers (3-3 MIAC, 6-4 overall) fell to the Macalester Scots (4-1 MIAC, 7-3 overall) 1-0 yesterday in St. Paul, Minn. The host Scots scored in the 80th minute.  The Blazers are now ranked sixth in the MIAC.

Junior goalkeeper Shannon Strohm (Burnsville, MN, Apple Valley ) had seven saves for the Blazers.  Regardless of the outcome, the Blazers battled until the end.  "We had some great chances both halves.  It was definitely a well fought match." Coach Kate McNeil said of the game.

The Blazers will play a non-conference game against The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Sunday, October 5th in St. Joseph, Minn. at 1 p.m.
