Jake Cowie joined the Saint Benedict soccer coaching staff prior to the 2026 season.
Cowie comes to CSB after spending the last six years as a coach with Boreal Futbol Club. While with Boreal, he earned his USSF C license and Advanced National Diploma. Cowie also served as a coach at Elk River High School, where he was an assistant varsity coach, and two years at St. Francis High School. While at St. Francis, Cowie helped the program earn its second state tournament appearance in program history.
Originally from England, Cowie moved to the U.S. in 2016and began his collegiate career at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. During his two years there, Cowie helped the team win back-to-back conference championships and reach the regional final in each season. He then transferred to Mid-America Christian University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration while continuing his soccer career. During his time at MACU, he was part of several historic achievements for the program, including winning the university’s first SAC Championship, helping the team make its first-ever NAIA Tournament appearance during his junior year, and becoming an NCCAA national champion his senior year.
Outside of soccer, Cowie lives with his fiancé and his five-year-old daughter, Grayli.
