2021: Competed in 52 sets as a first year ... fourth on the team in kills with 110 ... career-high 13 kills against Hamline on Sept. 22 ... finished the season with 24 digs and 9 blocks.

High School: Kobienia is a 2021 graduate of Wilmar High School. She earned an Academic Honors Award in 2021, she also played for the Kandi Elite Volleyball club. Her favorite moment while playing volleyball is hitting the ball down the line and having it land right in front of the libero’s foot.
 
Personal: Sophia is the daughter of Tamara and Randy Kobienia and she has two siblings: Hannah and Isaac. In her free time, she enjoys playing solitaire and spending time with her dogs. She is a nursing major, and she is looking forward to the busy life of being a student-athlete at CSB/SJU.
