2022-23: Was on the CSB Volleyball team

High School: Tessum is a 2022 graduate from Lanesboro High School. While in school she played two years of golf and track, as well as four years of volleyball and basketball. She also played for the BVB Club Volleyball Team. Her accomplishments include All-Conference (Volleyball 4 years), All-Academic (Volleyball/Basketball 4 years), All State Academic (Golf), All-Area Team (Volleyball 2 years). The proudest moment of her career so far was reaching 1000 digs during her senior year.

Personal: Malia is the daughter of Liana and Luke Tessum; she has one sibling, Teague. In her free time, she likes lifting, cooking, watching movies, and eating out. While at CSB she will be majoring in Nursing. Malia is looking forward to having a second family to share her time with, the team has made being away from home easier with the players and coaches always giving support when needed.
