High School: Cerkvenik is a 2017 graduate of Mounds View High School. She participated in two years of track and field and played four years of volleyball. She received four academic awards: one in track (2015) and three in volleyball (2014, 2015, 2016). The proudest moment of her career is receiving the Most Improved award for her team at the end of her junior season.
Personal: Laura is the daughter of Jeff and Brenda Cerkvenik. She has two brothers, Mark and Eric. She enjoys being part of a team, and being able to start college with friends was a bonus for her. She plans to major in elementary education and minor in Spanish while at CSB/SJU.
