2008: Played in 121 games... compiled 241 kills (4th for CSB) and a hitting percentage of .177 (4th for CSB)... had 67 blocks (4th for CSB) and .55 blocks per game (3rd for CSB)... on Sept. 19, 2008, she compiled 18 kills and one block against Nebraska-Wesleyan...player with a lot of potential … will be an impact player in the front row … has aggressive hitting abilities … great one-foot take-offs.

2007: Played in 99 games and 30 matches for the Blazers … voted a share of CSB’s Most Improved Player award … hit for 234 kills and averaged 2.36 kills per game (4th for CSB) … recorded double-figure kills in nine matches … recorded 40 blocks, averaging 0.40 blocks per game (5th for CSB)… compiled 44 digs … on Sept. 14, 2007, Schumacher recorded a season-high 17 kills against Buena Vista University … on Oct. 20, 2007, she compiled a season-high five blocks and added 15 kills against Gustavus Adolphus.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Schumacher was coached by Christy Peterson … participated in volleyball (four years), basketball (four years) and softball (four years) during her athletic career at Sacred Heart High School … was a three-sport captain … named team MVP of her volleyball team her junior and senior seasons … was a two-time offensive player of the year … selected to the All-Polar Conference volleyball team her senior year … named the Grand Forks Herald Female Athlete of the Year in 2006 and 2007 … was the team MVP of her basketball team her junior and senior seasons … was a All-Polar Conference basketball team selection her senior year … member of the Sacred Heart softball team that made it to the State Tournament in 2007 … was the 2007 senior class valedictorian of Sacred Heart High School.

Personal: Daughter of Jodi and Brad Schumacher of East Grand Forks, Minn. … enjoys playing sports, being outdoors, watching scary movies, and spending time with family and friends … majoring in Biology/Pre Occupational Therapy with a minor in psychology.

Proudest moment of her volleyball career: 
“Making it to the Elite 8 in Bloomington, Illinois my sophomore year.”

Why did you decide to attend the College of Saint Benedict? 
“I really enjoy being able to focus on my studies while also playing a sport that I love.”
