MIAC Athlete of the Week | Feb. 5, 2019

2019-20: Played in a trio of singles matches and six doubles matches before the 2019-20 season was cut short in mid-March due to COVID19 ... finished the year 2-1 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles play ... won at singles and doubles against D2 Bemidji State ... earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

2018-19: Named MIAC Athlete of the Week on Feb. 5 after going undefeated in her collegiate debut against D2 Winona State ... went 6-8 in singles play as a first year, mostly at No. 6 singles ... also picked up six doubles wins, all at No. 3. 

High School: Aune is a 2018 graduate of Shanley High School where she played tennis for six years and participated in cross country for four years and golf for one year. She qualified for the state tennis meet her sophomore through senior seasons, and took fourth place at team state and sixth place at state doubles as a senior. She earned all-conference honors as a senior, and was the team captain and team MVP in 2017-18. In cross country, Aune qualified for the state meet as a seventh and eighth grader and then again her freshman season. She was nominated for the 2018 North Dakota Gatorade Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Aune is the daughter of Lisa and Jeff Aune, and she as one brother, Josh, who also attended CSB/SJU. She enjoys tennis, yoga and running, and plans to major in Integrative Health Science.
