2022-23: Earned Academic All-MIAC... competed in 1 match for the season.

2021-22: Competed in 34 sets as a first year ... fourth on the team with 11 blocks ... finished the season with 18 kills and seven digs

High School: Gumaelius is a 2021 graduate of East Ridge High School, during which she played four seasons of volleyball and golfed for five seasons. She was earned varsity letters in volleyball as a junior and senior and earned Academic All-State honors in 2020 and 2021. She also played for the Kokoro Volleyball Club, and her proudest moment so far in her career was her team going undefeated in her senior season.
 
Personal: Emmie is the daughter of Michelle and Johan Gumaelius and she has one sibling, Sofie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and watching sports. Emmie is majoring in nursing, and she is looking forward to being able to continue playing volleyball while making new friends.
