2020-21: Did not compete as a first year in a season that was shortened and played in Spring 2021 due to the COVID19 pandemic.

High School: Connelly is a 2020 graduate of Byron High School where she played basketball and volleyball for four years. She earned all-conference as a junior and senior, and reached the 1,000-dig milestone in 2019. She also earned academic all-state honors, was named the team MVP, Defensive MVP and SPIKE Award winner and an all-conference honorable mention selection in 2017. In basketball, Connelly was a two-time team captain, the team Offensive MVP in 2019 and an all-conference honorable mention selection. She set the school record for 3-pointers in a game, season and career, three-point field-goal percentage in a season and free-throw percentage in a career. The proudest moment in her career so far is reaching 1000 career digs during her senior season.
 
Personal: Courtney is the daughter of Brian and Terrie Connelly and she has two siblings, Allison and Tyler. Some of her favorite hobbies to do include rollerblading, being outside, and spending time with friends and families. Courtney will be majoring in biology and she is looking forward to being able to continue to play the sport she loves at the competitive level.
