2009: Started in all 32 matches, appearing in 110 of 112 games ... led the team with 105 blocks ... totalled 109 kills and added 23 digs.

2008: Had a breakout season for the Blazers... made an appearance in 143 games... recorded 144 kills... 18 assists and 106 blocks (2nd for CSB)...has good blocking skills and will add depth to the Saint Benedict front row … hard worker on the court...voted the team's Most Improved player.

2007: Member of the junior varsity team.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Glencoe-Silver Lake High School, Bartels was coached by Theo Fotis … participated in volleyball (four years), basketball (four years) and softball (four years) during her athletic career at Glencoe-Silver Lake High School … captained all three sports teams she participated on … was an All-Wright County Conference selection in volleyball … selected as the leadership awards winner of her volleyball team … received All-Wright County Conference honorable mentions in volleyball and basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Kathy and Grant Bartels of Glencoe, Minn. … enjoys running, reading, traveling, fishing, watching movies and spending time with family and friends … majoring in Pre-Dentistry and Biology with a minor in Psychology.

Proudest moment of her volleyball career: “Being the captain of my volleyball team that accomplished a lot by working hard as a team.”

Why did you decide to attend the College of Saint Benedict? “I liked the school’s reputation of providing students with a great atmosphere to thrive in.”
