2010: Appeared in 101 of the team's 110 sets ... recorded 16 kills and 50 set assists ... was second for CSB with 24 services aces ... led the team and was 7th in the MIAC with 404 digs for 4 digs per set ... recorded a career-high 26 digs on Sept. 17 against St. Catherine ... totaled six kills on Oct. 27 against St. Thomas ... named the team's Top Defensive Player.
2009: Appeared in all 112 sets ... recorded 67 kills for .282 hitting percentage ... second on the team with 74 assists ... led the team with 54 service aces ... totalled 306 digs for 2.73 digs per set ... also added nine blocks.
2008: Had a breakout season for the Blazers...played in 143 sets...led the team with 53 service aces... recorded 391 digs (3rd for CSB) and 68 assists (2nd for CSB)...talented athlete... defensive player who is quick to the ball... has good setting abilities and will continue to develop her defensive skills.
2007: Appeared in 109 games for the Blazers...notched 50 kills, averaging .46 per game...posted 321 digs, good for a 2.94 dig per game average
High School: A 2007 graduate of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop High School, Wortz was coached by Chris Wortz … participated in volleyball (four years), basketball (three years) and track and field (three years) during her athletic career at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop High School … collected a total of 2,055 assists and 705 digs during her high school career … set a school record for assists in a season with 881 … All-State volleyball team selection her senior year … a three-time All-Tomahawk Conference volleyball selection … was a three-time KDUZ All-Area volleyball team selection … named to the Academic All-Conference volleyball, basketball and track and field teams … member of the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop volleyball team that were Tomahawk Conference Champions in 2005 and 2006.
Personal: Daughter of Chris and Brian Wortz of Fairfax, Minn. … enjoys swimming, movies, shopping and spending time with family and friends … majoring in biology with a minor in psychology.

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"I love spending the first few months of school with such a close group of girls. Also, the time-management skills I have learned will hopefully stick with me forever."
Why did you decide to attend the College of Saint Benedict?
“I really was impressed with the campus, the volleyball program and the nursing program. All three factors made me feel that Saint Benedict would be a great fit for me.”
