2020: OUTDOOR: The 2020 outdoor season was canceled by the NCAA on March 13 due to the COVID19 pandemic ... INDOOR: named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team ... qualified for the MIAC Championships in the shot put and weight throw and finished top 20 in both ... recorded a trio of top-five finishes.

2019: OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the shot put, discus and hammer throw ... finished seventh in all three events ... recorded career-best marks in the shot put and hammer at the conference meet ... moved into sixth in program history in the shot put and recorded the sixth-best hammer mark in CSB history at the MIAC Championships ... recorded a trio of top-10 finishes at three different meets ... INDOOR ... qualified for the conference meet in the shot put and weight throw ... finished 12th in the weight and 18th in the shot put ... recorded a pair of top-five finishes at the St. Olaf Women's Invite.

2018: OUTDOOR: qualified for the MIAC Championships in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw ... recorded the fifth-best discus throw (37.81m) in CSB history at the Championships ... finished seventh in the discus and ninth in the hammer throw ... recorded 13 top-10 finishes as a senior ... INDOOR: qualified for the MIAC Championships in shot put and weight throw ... finished third in the shot put to earn All-MIAC honors and recorded the seventh-best mark in the weight throw (12.98) in CSB history ... recorded seven top-10 finishes. 

2017: INDOOR ... earned All-MIAC honors after taking third in the shot put at the conference meet ... recorded the seventh-best toss in CSB history (11.83m) at the conference meet ... won the shot put competition at the CSB|SJU Alum Meet ... finished with six top-five finishes ... OUTDOOR ... qualified for the MIAC Championships in the shot put, discus and hammer throw ... took eighth in the shot put ... recorded the seventh-best discus mark in CSB history (11.54m) at the MIAC meet ... also recorded seventh-best discus mark (37.46m) in school history ... finished runner up in the discus and shot at the Manitou Classic ... recorded 14 top-10 finishes.

High School: A 2016 graduate of Burnsville High School, Gigstad participated in soccer (three years), basketball (six years), and track and field (four years). She was an all-conference honorable mention selection in 2014. In 2015 and 2016, Gigstad received all-conference honors.
 
Personal: Sarah is the daughter of Theresa and Lynn Gigstad. She has one brother, Zach, and one sister who also attends CSB, Becky. In her free time, Sarah enjoys singing and baking. While at CSB/SJU, Sarah is a psychology major.
