2022: OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 10K and finished seventh ... ran career-best times in the 5K, 10K, 1,500 and 800 as a junior ... recorded eight top-10 finishes ... INDOOR: qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 5K and finished 11th ... won the 5K at St. Olaf and took second at the CSB/SJU Invite.

2021: OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 10K ... won the 5K in a career-best time of 19:09.40 on March 27 at SJU ... also won the 10K in a career-best time of 39:26.50 on April 10 at SJU ... competed in four meets and recorded three top-two finishes ... INDOOR: competed in five meets and recorded two wins ... ran a career-best indoor 5K time of 19:21 on March 6 at SJU ... recorded a career-best indoor 3K time of 11:05.54 on Feb. 28 at SJU.

2020: OUTDOOR: The 2020 outdoor season was canceled by the NCAA on March 13 due to the COVID19 pandemic ... INDOOR: competed in one meet as a first year ... took eighth in the 3K at the CSB/SJU Alum Meet.

High School: Demorett is a 2019 graduate of Waseca High School. There she was in track and field for six years and cross country for three years. She earned cross country’s most improved award (2017), cross country Bluejay award (2018), track and field all-conference in the 4x8 (2017-2019), and cross country all-conference honorable mention (2018). Emily was also participated in the winter swim team where she earned the team player award in 2017. The proudest moment in her career was crossing the finish line at sections her senior year after all her hard work and being proud of her time. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she still gets to work and train hard to get better every day.

Personal:  Emily is the daughter of Paul and Pam Demorett, and has three siblings, Mason, Lydia, and Jared. Her grandpa, grandma, four uncles, two aunts, three cousins, parents, and siblings all graduated from CSB/SJU. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing cards, and spending time with family. She is pursuing an exercise science major with a focus in sports administration.
