Biography
2022-23: Earned Academic All-MIAC honors for the 2022-23 season … named CSB Athlete of the Week on 9/26/22 … competed in 8 singles matches and 12 doubles matches … recorded 2 singles wins … finished 2-6 in singles play, including 2-5 in MIAC singles play … spent most of the season at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles … recorded 5 doubles wins … finished 5-7 in doubles play, including 4-6 in MIAC doubles play.
2021-22: Finished 7-5 in singles play after joining the team at the completion of basketball season ... went 6-2 against MIAC competition, mostly at No. 5 singles ... picked up an extra-set win against Carleton on April 3 ... also finished the year at 6-7 in doubles play, mostly at No. 2 doubles.
High School: Jonas is a 2021 graduate of Hudson High School where she played basketball and tennis for four years. She earned second team all-conference as a freshman and sophomore and first team all-conference her junior and senior seasons. She also attended the state tournament as an individual and team. Sophia was awarded academic all-conference all four years. She participated in AAU basketball for club. Her proudest moment was making it to state in basketball and tennis.
Personal: Sophia is the daughter of Kim and Scott Jonas and she has one sister, Lexi...accounting major....enjoys spending time with friends, going shopping, baking and watching movies.
