2021-22: Competed as a doubles specialist for the Bennies as a junior ... competed in 17 doubles matches, mostly at No. 3 doubles ... led the team with 11 doubles wins and finished 11-6 overall, including a 6-3 mark in MIAC play ... picked up an 8-3 doubles win against Carleton ... also finished 3-1 at No. 6 singles.

2020-21: Competed in 11 singles and doubles matches as a sophomore ... led the team with seven doubles wins ... finished 7-4, all at No. 3 doubles ... picked up four MIAC doubles wins ... finished 4-7 in singles play, including 3-6 at No. 5 singles ... won at both singles and doubles against Division II St. Cloud State.

2019-20: Competed in six singles matches and eight doubles matches before the 2019-20 season was cut short in mid-March due to COVID19 ... went undefeated at No. 6 singles at 6-0 ... also finished her first season with the team 7-1 in doubles play, mostly at No. 3 doubles ... picked up a doubles wins against D2 Bemidji State ... also won at singles and doubles against St. Thomas.

High School: Bedford is a 2019 graduate from Cretin-Derham Hall. In high school she kept herself busy by playing tennis, basketball and softball for four years. Her accomplishments include all-conference honorable mention for tennis (2015, 2016) and basketball (2019), all-conference for tennis (2017, 2018) and softball (2019), the Triple AAA Award (2018-19) and the McDonough Spirit Award (2018-2019). The proudest moment of her career was making varsity as a freshman and working her way up to playing with a senior at No. 2 doubles.
 
Personal: Maria is the daughter of Tom and Cathy Bedford. She has four siblings: Patrick, Julia, Carolyn, and David. When she is not playing tennis, she enjoys painting, drawing, doing puzzles, playing games, and sports. She is looking forward to being able to think strategically and get challenged both on the court and in the classroom. She will be majoring in mathematics and minoring in chemistry and art.
