High School: A 2007 graduate of Sioux Falls Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Huether was Coached by Dick Hahn.  Member of state championship Warrior tennis team in 2003, was a State Champion Doubles player in 2004 and won a state singles title in 2006.  Huether was undefeated as a senior and named all-conference in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and all-state in 2004 and 2006. Also a competitive dancer for the Washington High steppers, Huether won a national championship in 2006 and a Grand National Championship in 2007.  President of the Washington Young Democrats and named one of Washington’s Top Ten Seniors. 

Personal: Daughter of Mike and Cindy Huether of Sioux Falls.  Enjoys politics and worked as an intern for both Senator Tim Johnson and Representative Stephanie Herseth.  Enjoys traveling abroad and spending time with family and friends.  Majoring in Political Science and minor in Peace Studies.

What is your proudest of your career in tennis? “My proudest tennis achievement was being a two-time all-conference tennis player.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I like that although there are not a lot of collegiate student-athletes, everyone on the team is here because they want to play and be a better athlete.”
