College of Saint Benedict

2024-25: Emily had 863 minutes on the field, leaving her active in all 17 games in the 2024 season. she had 15 shots with a career game-high of 4 shots, two of them on goal at home against St. Scholastica on October 22nd. Cavanaugh earned the Academic All Conference Award. Emily will end her career with one goal and one assist. 

2023-24: Cavanaugh earned the Academic All MIAC Award. She saw playing time in 18 games and started in half of them. She had one assist at Concordia Moorhead. She had nine shots, two on goal, and her SOG percentage was .222.  

2022-23: She played in 19 games and played a total of 495 minutes. She recorded 1 goal. Cavanaugh also recorded 2 shots, including 1 shot on goal.

High School: Cavanaugh is a 2021 graduate from Edina High School in Minnesota. While in school she played soccer for four seasons and received the Scholar Athlete Award (2021). She also played for the Edina Soccer Club. The proudest moment of Cavanaugh’s career so far was playing senior night with all of her teammates she had grown up playing with.

Personal: Emily is the daughter of Stacey (CSB Alumna) and Tom (SJU Alumni); she has two siblings, Elliot, and Ellie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. While at CSB she is majoring in Sociology and minoring in communication. Emily is looking forward to being a collegiate student athlete and playing the sport she loves while getting to represent Saint Bens.
