College of Saint Benedict

2022-23: Klein played and started in eight games this season. She recorded nine groundballs, six caused turnovers, and one draw control. 

High School: Klein is from Dubuque, Iowa and is a 2019 graduate of Wahlert Catholic High School. There she played volleyball for three years, basketball for four years and softball for five years. She earned Mississippi Valley Conference Honorable Mention (17-18), and Mississippi Valley All-Academic and honorable mention (18-19). She also played AAU basketball for Team Iowa Fury and Team Iowa Frenzy. The proudest moment of her career has been achieving and tying different records. She is third in her high school program history in steals per game.

Personal: Maria is the daughter of Barb Klein. Her hobbies are sports and hiking. She has had numerous family members – including her mom – graduate from CSB/SJU, and she is an exercise science major.
