Biography
2015: Earned Academic All-MIAC honors as a senior in 2015 ... recorded three top-45 finishes, including a fourth-place finish at the Fall Finale ... ran a career-best 5K at the Fall Finale (20:05) and a career-best 6K at the Tori Neubauer Invite (24:01.32).
2014: Finished in the top 50 three times as a junior, including an eighth-place finish at the Fall Finale ... ran a career-best 6K in 24:42.24 at the Tori Neubauer Invite ... also ran a career-best 5K in 20:19 at the Fall Finale ... named to the All-MIAC Academic Team.
2013: Ran a season-best 6K time of 25:50 at the Tori Neubauer Invite on Oct. 19 ... best finish was a 35th-place finish at Saint John's University's Fall Finale on Nov. 8 in a season-best 21:54.
2012: Ran in eight meets as a first year ... finished 44th at the CSB Triangular ... also finished in the top-55 at the Fall Finale.
High School: A 2012 graduate of Jefferson High School, Gathje was coached by Jeremy Kersten. She participated in cross country, basketball, and track for four years during her athletic career at Jefferson. Gathje is recipient of the Jaguar Award in all three sports, All-Conference Honorable Mention and Academic All-State in basketball. She was also captain of the track team her senior year.
Personal: Gathje is the daughter of Jeanne and Jim Gathje of Bloomington, Minn. In her free time she enjoys running, playing basketball, being at the lake, and reading.
