2014-2015: Played at the University of Sioux Falls, an NCAA Division II program as a first year in 2014-15. She saw time in 18 games and averaged 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. Scored a career-high eight points in the first game of her collegiate career.
 
High School: A 2014 graduate of Canby High School, Merritt participated in basketball and track and field for six years, cross country for five years and volleyball for one year. She earned all-conference as a junior and senior and all-area honors as a senior. Merritt was the team MVP as a junior and senior. She also played for the Minnesota Lakers AAU team. Merritt earned all-conference track honors from 2008-14, participated in the state meet in 2013 and 2014 and was the team MVP in 2014. She earned all-conference cross country honors and ran at the state meet in 2008 and 2010.
 
Personal: Merritt is the daughter of Patti and Jeff Merritt. Merritt enjoys Netflix and volunteering. She has five siblings and plans to major in business/accounting at CSB|SJU.
