Career: Played in 16 games... accumulating 52 minutes on the court... pulled down 8 rebounds... scored 12 points; including a career-high 12 points against Worcester State on Dec. 18, 2022.

2022-23: Played in 7 games; played a total of 22 minutes... pulled down 4 total rebounds... recorded 2 assists... scored 9 points... finished the season with 100% at the free throw line.

2021-22: Saw varsity playing time in 8 games as a junior...scored 3 points and recorded 4 rebounds...played 30 minutes total. 

2020-21: Did not see varsity playing time as a sophomore.

2019-20: Did not see varsity playing time as a first year ... won the team's Coaches Award.

High School: Klein is from Dubuque, Iowa and is a 2019 graduate of Wahlert Catholic High School. There she played volleyball for three years, basketball for four years and softball for five years. She earned Mississippi Valley Conference Honorable Mention (17-18), and Mississippi Valley All-Academic and honorable mention (18-19). She also played AAU basketball for Team Iowa Fury and Team Iowa Frenzy. The proudest moment of her career has been achieving and tying different records. She is third in her high school program history in steals per game.

Personal: Maria is the daughter of Barb Klein. Her hobbies are sports and hiking. She has had numerous family members – including her mom – graduate from CSB/SJU, and she is an exercise science major.
