2020-21: Saw playing time in all nine of the team's games as a sophmore in a season shortened due to the COVID19 pandemic ... averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.
2019-20: Played in 19 varsity games as a first year ... averaged 8.5 minutes per game ... scored a career-high eight points on Feb. 22 at Bethel ... finished the year with 17 rebounds and six assists.
High School: Thompson is a 2019 graduate of Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler, Ariz. There, Thompson played basketball for four years and beach volleyball and cross country for one year. She was the basketball team’s most improved player (2017-18) and most valuable player (2018-19). She also played club basketball. The proudest moment of her career so far was winning the state championship during the 2017-18 season.
Personal: Kendyl is the daughter of Mark and Amy Thompson, and she has brothers: Jake and Luke. Her brother Luke currently attends CSB/SJU as well. Her hobbies are volleyball, spikeball and hiking. She is a biology major, and she looks forward to the opportunity to continue to participate in something she’s passionate about and being a part of a team atmosphere.
