High School: A 2008 graduate of Somerset High School, Solum was coached by Bill Powers… participated in basketball (4 years), volleyball (4 years) and softball (2 years) during her athletic career at Somerset... 1st team All-Middle Border Conference three years… MVP senior year… New Richmond News MVP and most improved… Pioneer Press Prep Athlete of the Week (sophomore year)… Wisconsin Coaches Association All-State All-Star selection (division 2 north; senior year)... Wisconsin Midwest All-Star Classic selection (senior year)… All-Middle Border Conference honorable mention 07-08 in volleyball… Middle Border Conference champions 07-08 in basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Mary Beth and Eric Solum of Somerset, Wis… had five relatives that attended CSB/SJU… enjoys basketball, volleyball, golf, family time at the cabin, shopping, going to the beach, listening to music and reading… majoring in nursing/pre-physical therapy.

What do you like about being/anticipate about being a collegiate student-athlete?
“I am very excited to play with a new team, develop new friendships, learn new plays, work hard, stay in shape, reach new goals, and challenge myself inside and outside the classroom.”

Why did you decide to attend CSB?
“It is a friendly and hardworking environment. It is close to home, but far enough away to begin a new chapter in my life.”
